Our Mission for California

The California capitol building in SacramentoHelping people take back their lives

Addiction takes over lives. That is the function of what, at the heart of it, is a behavioral disease. If left to its own devices, addiction will continue to disrupt the lives of individuals across the state of California, and tear apart families. Few people can understand the grasp that addiction can have on the mind, and so addicts are often pushed to the fringes of society, further pushing them into the nefarious arms of substance abuse. In the mind of an addict, substance abuse is what brings solace.

However, addiction doesn’t have to be left to its own devices. Just as powerful as the hold of addiction is the power of what communities can do when they bond together for the common good. That is the mission that we have dedicated ourselves to at Turning Point of Arnold. By using tested methods of addiction recovery techniques, our experienced and caring team works endlessly to allow people who have struggled with addiction to reclaim their lives and make a meaningful recovery.

A costs-effective solution for California

We believe that the spread of addiction has caused unnecessary economic strain in California. This is true not only for the families that addiction has a profoundly destructive effect upon, but for the entire state, as a whole. When you add up the medical costs, law enforcement costs, losses from crime, lost productivity, and housing costs for prisons, the price tag for addiction is in the billions.

When you take all of this into consideration, the money spent on rehabilitating addicts is an investment that pays off. According to the California Department of Public Health, a dollar spent on rehabilitation facilities can save the entire state seven dollars.

Saving lives

While we believe that spending money to rehabilitate addicts, rather than imprison them, is imminently more cost effective, the biggest cost of addiction, by far, is the toll that it takes on human life. At Turning Point of Arnold, our team is made up of individuals who truly care about the people that we feel it is our duty to protect. At the end of the day, that is our primary mission, because if all of the work that we do can help just one more Californian go home to their family and live a fulfilling life, then it will have been worth it.
